After several months of intensive work on the production of our annual signature fundraising event, it is with the utmost regret we announce, following consultation with our partners, a difficult decision was made to postpone the 8th edition of the One Night for One Drop™ event, which was initially planned for March 27th at the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
More information to come.
One Night for One DropTM is an annual global philanthropic event imagined by Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group in support of One Drop, an international non-profit organization dedicated to providing access to safe water.
Since 2013, the event has raised over $40M in overall contributions from our stakeholders to support One Drop’s mission.
The 8th annual edition of the event will be held on Friday March 27, 2020, at the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, featuring a unique performance by THE ILLUSIONISTS, a non-stop show packed with thrilling and sophisticated magic of unprecedented proportions.
The evening begins with an intimate, sponsor-only, cocktail reception - the perfect setting to network with our exclusive crowd.
Guests will then take their seats in the theater for the live auction where exquisite, once-in-a-lifetime experiences, travel, and luxury goods are presented and available to bid on.
This impressive auction will be followed by THE ILLUSIONISTS, a non-stop show packed with thrilling and sophisticated magic of unprecedented proportions.
The evening is only just beginning… guests will cap off the night with an epic, immersive party. This unforgettable extravaganza with food, beverages, and surprise guest performances will be held in true Cirque du Soleil style and is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression – expect the unexpected!
One Drop is proud to give back to the Las Vegas Community that has embraced their mission since the inaugural One Night for One Drop event. One Drop has partnered with many like-minded Southern Nevada organizations and to date, has donated over $1.5M to the Springs Preserve, Desert Research Institute, WaterStart, and the DISCOVERY Children’s Museum — with the goal of raising awareness and to educating the community about access to safe water and ongoing water innovations.
Our founder Guy Laliberté’s financial commitment covers all administrative costs, which allows One Drop to allot 100% of the funds generated by the fundraising events and partnerships to its projects.
Working in collaboration with executing partners, local governments, development banks and agencies, and other stakeholders enables One Drop to leverage its impact and multiply each donation.
Behaviour change is now recognized as the missing link in sustainability. Through our unique Social Art for Behaviour Change™ approach, One Drop inspires, activates, and sustains the practice of healthy behaviours around water, sanitation, and hygiene.
